A&A Practitioner, WNY (Port Hueneme, CA)

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The A&A Practitioner understanding of NIST SP 800 series, experience with Cyber Architecture requirements (such as DODAF, etc.), experience with Federal secure configuration requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to)
• Perform all required and approved ISSM RMF process steps
• Support implementation of the RMF for assigned programs, organizations, systems,
• Maintain and report system’s A&A status and issues
• Develop, track, resolve and maintain the SP for assigned systems
• Perform annual security reviews, annual testing of information assurance controls
• Execute annual testing of the contingency plan to maintain FISMA compliance
• Manage POA&M entries and ensuring vulnerabilities are properly tracked and mitigated
• Assist with identification of security control baseline set and any applicable overlays
• Coordinate security control validation with PM/ISO, SCA Liaison, PSO, and AO CSA
• Assemble the Security Authorization Package and submitting for adjudication
• Registering the system in eMASS
• Assess periodically (minimum annually) the quality of security control
• Perform implementation against requirements
• Plan and perform cybersecurity testing to assess security controls and recording
• Execute security control compliance status during sustainment
• Report to the AO changes in the security posture of system that would require reassessment

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Six (6) years of directly related experience executing RMF steps
• Experience coordinating security control validation with PM/ISO, SCA Liaison, PSO, and AO CSA
• Experience in assembling the Security Authorization Package and submitting for adjudication
• Registering the system in eMASS
• Execute and assess periodically (minimum annually) the quality of security control
• Experience with vulnerability management and tools
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in RMF
• Certifications:
o CompTIA Security+ CE
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
