Intelligence Operations

Watershed is among the few contractors that have developed and operationalized mission enhancing technology, and that actively support intelligence collection and analysis operations across all of the major domains. We actively work with national-level intelligence agencies, military intelligence directorates, and federal law enforcement agencies. We employ intelligence professionals with expertise in signals intelligence (SIGINT), geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), measurement and signature intelligence (MASINT), counterintelligence (CI)/human intelligence (HUMINT), open-source intelligence (OSINT), force protection, cybersecurity and cyber defense, computer network operations and computer network defense, and information operations. We also have extensive experience developing and operationalizing analytical tools, and experimenting with new managed service business models that fuse products derived from all sources in support of common strategic, operational, and tactical frameworks.

We pair analysts with machine-enabled translation and data analytics tools to convert large amounts of raw data into timely and actionable intelligence. We use cutting-edge web technology and neural machine-learning, visualization, and speech recognition to aggregate, synthesize, and exploit open-source data. We have a long track record of success in collecting and processing publicly available information, gathering targeted data, and performing robust pattern and trend analyses. Watershed’s expert language and ethnographic services support intelligence, information operations, and public affairs.

Our proprietary cloud-based artificial intelligence practice provides deep learning algorithms for searching unique data sources to quickly sift through traditional and social media data sources in real-time throughout the world. We utilize a variety of indicators to identify, validate, and track narratives and sentiment. Watershed provides powerful predictive analytics trusted by clients to forecast events.

Watershed’s consultants provide the  essential expertise to properly execute the RMF Authorize step to enable organizations to determination the risk in Cloud systems, on premise systems, military weapons and navigation systems as well as Building Control Systems (BCS).  Our engineering assess the risk and provide actionable data to determine to authorize (or not) a system to operate.

We determine the security and privacy posture of that system, as well as the risk from the operation and use of the system. This risk is determined using the  authorizing official review and analysis of the information and materials in the authorization package, as well as organizational-level and system-level risk information provided by senior officials (e.g., senior agency information security officer, senior agency official for privacy, risk executive), control assessors, system owners, and other stakeholders to the authorizing official.

If necessary, further discussions between the authorizing official and those furnishing the information may take place to help the authorizing official fully understand the risks. During risk analysis and determination, the authorizing official also takes into consideration organizational risk tolerance, dependencies among systems and controls, mission and business requirements, criticality of the mission or business functions supported by the system, and the overall risk management strategy of the organization.

OSINT

We support DOD and Intelligence Community customers across the entirety of their cyber missions, and at large enterprise scale.

Open-source analyst support is the process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information from publicly available sources, such as news articles, social media posts, and government documents. This information is then used to produce intelligence products that support the decision-making of policymakers and military commanders.

Our OSINT analysts provide cost-effective strategies to collect information on a wide range of topics, and it can be used to corroborate information from other sources. We develop products to track emerging trends and threats, and to identify potential targets for further investigation.

Watershed analysts have a deep understanding of the open-source environment, as well as the ability to collect, process, and analyze information from a variety of sources communicate their findings to operational leadership for decisive action.

Watershed provides open-source analyst support and drives the intelligence cycle.  Providing timely and accurate OSINT data enables leadership to make actionable decsions to support the Warfighters.

Supply Chain Illumination

Watershed’s Intelligence professionals deliver Supply Chain Illumination (SCI) through our All-Source and Open-Source intelligence practices.  SCI provides our customers with the required data needed to ensure that their supply chain for critical components is secure from undue influence. to include the location of all assets, the flow of goods and information, and the risks and vulnerabilities that exist.

Through SCI, Watershed’s analysts drive organizations to identify and mitigate risks. by understanding their supply chains in detail.  We idenity potential risks such as counterfeit products, supplier disruptions, and cybersecurity attacks and vulnerabilities.  We develop risk mitigation tactics such as implementing supplier due diligence programs and investing in cybersecurity measures.

Watershed provides the requires DEVSECOPS personnel to manage, monitor and operate platforms specifically design to collect and track data from all aspects of thier supply chains.   We use this Operational Supply Chain data to create real-time visualizations and reports that provide mission specialists with data on weapon systems, organizational risks, and software supply chains.  Through Data analytics frameworks our Intelligence specialists are able to identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain.

The benefits of Supply Chain Illumination

Watersheds Intelligence Analysts provide the skills and expertise to enable the Intelligence, DoD and Federal Civilian clients to realize the benefits of SCI.

  • Increased visibility into the supply chain allowing organizations to identify and mitigate risks, improve efficiency, and comply with regulations.
  • Improved decision-making by having a complete understanding of the supply chain to enable decision making authority about sourcing, production, and deployment.
